Befriending & Shopping Services
Age Concern Norwich has a long-established Befriending service, through which we can offer friendship, advice and advocacy to people in the comfort and security of their own home.
Our volunteer befrienders agree to visit a person regularly. These visits can help lessen the sense of isolation and depression often experienced by older people, and encourage independence and friendship.
Visits are usually made weekly for about an hour, at a time agreeable to both parties.
